This Bewildering, Easter Way–A Retreat on Grief and Recovery
On the weekend following Easter Sunday, Bishop Mary Gray-Reeves will facilitate a retreat for those seeking a faith based, safe community in which to process deep loss and the long-term work of recovery. Whether the loss is recent or years ago, gathering together for insight, prayer and the support of community can help us move forward into the new life that is promised in the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Events of insufferable grief, such as the death of a beloved spouse, child, parent or friend can forever change us. While we know immediately at the point of loss that grief is inexplicably hard, it can come as a surprise to discover that living into new life can be just as challenging. The Christian faith and community offers us a place to be ourselves and to be supported as together we walk the Easter Way.
The location of the retreat is in the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains at The Mount Hermon Camp and Conference Center located at: 37 Conference Drive, Felton, CA 95018. Retreat cost is $297 for double occupancy.
The retreat will be held starting with check in on Friday afternoon (4:30pm) April 21st, and ending Sunday afternoon on the 23rd. Retreat costs include lodging and all meals & snacks, starting with dinner on Friday night and ending with lunch on Sunday.
