Big thanks to committee members the Rev. Brian Cleary, Ms. Joan Dresser, the Rev. Joel Martinez, and the Rev. Linzi Stahlecker, with Bishop Lucinda Ashby serving as adviser, for all the hours of prayerful (and no doubt spreadsheet heavy) discernment that went into these decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here&#8217;s where the money is going:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Missional Grants: $300,000<\/strong><br>For Leadership Development, Community Engagement, and Innovative Ministries<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All Saints&#8217; Cristo Rey, Watsonville<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All Saints&#8217;, Carmel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All Saints&#8217;, Palo Alto<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Calvary, Santa Cruz<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Episcopal Church in Almaden<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Grace Connection, CSUMB<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>San Pablo Apostol, Seaside<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>St. James&#8217;, Monterey<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>St. Luke&#8217;s, Hollister<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Saint Paul San Pablo, Salinas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Education\/Formation Grants: $30,500<\/strong><br>For workshops, education programs, conferences, and scholarships<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Clergy Conference Support<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>San Pablo Apostol, Seaside<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Santa Maria Urban Ministry<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Spring Renewal Support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Outreach Grants: $44,850<\/strong><br>For needs within or outside the diocese not covered by other grant categories, including the Five Marks of Mission<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>California Institute for Corrections<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cristosal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hope Inside\/Hope<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Navajoland<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Santa Maria Urban Ministry<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supporting Indigenous Communities Group<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Property Grants: $6,600<\/strong><br>For emergency needs and small projects, with matched funding from congregations<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>St. Luke&#8217;s, Atascadero<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Music Grants: $8,000<\/strong><br>For musical endeavors needed by congregations<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>St. Luke&#8217;s, Hollister<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>St. Luke&#8217;s, Los Gatos<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>St. Mary&#8217;s, Pacific Grove<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Congratulations to all the recipients, and a heartfelt thank you to everyone whose generosity makes these grants possible.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At this year&#8217;s Diocesan Convention, the Grant Committee announced the recipients of $389,950 in grants across five categories.
