West Coast Collaborative
The Diocese of El Camino Real School for Ministry is now in partnership with the dioceses of Northern California and San Diego as The West Coast Collaborative. There are big plans for 2023 including the development and launch of a program for individuals preparing for ordination as Deacons. The course will be opening in the winter of 2023 to prepare individuals to apply for a Lay Preaching license. Similar to 2022, we are forming cohorts of students in Spanish and English and seeking adult learners of all ages and educational backgrounds who are actively involved in ministry in their congregations and demonstrate gifts in lay leadership. Program orientation will be in late February. Adult learners of all ages and educational backgrounds who are actively involved in ministry in their congregations and demonstrate gifts in lay leadership are encouraged to apply. The course is offered in English and Spanish, and tuition is $180 per year or $15 per month for 12 months. We are still accepting applications for the Spanish Cohort 2023, but the English Cohort application closed on Friday, January 20th.
