2024 Missional Grants Awards Announced at the 43rd Diocesan Convention
The winners of the 2024 Missional Grants were announced at the Annual Diocesan Convention on Saturday, November 4th.
All Saints/Cristo Rey, Watsonville, $80,000
to provide: full-time center for administration and funds for ministry to deepen missional work and continue to transform the ASCR identity within the community.
Calvary, Santa Cruz $30,000
to provide: labyrinth with walks for educational purposes, outdoor worship and special events.
Episcopal Church in Almaden, $40,000
in the next phase of their work to become a hub allowing jointly-owned church property to offer services in support of seniors, children and families.
Holy Family, San Jose, $20,000
to provide the graveling of the back lot to allow ease of access to the church facility and overflow parking.
San Pablo/Apostol, Seaside, $80,000
to assist with programs to move from informality to formality in administration and finance, assist with leadership development and support of community, and to allow for parking lot development.
St Francis, San Jose, $32,000
to provide support to growing Mandarin-speaking congregation and leadership.
St. Jude’s, Cupertino, $20,000
to provide ability to have a presence and enhance further ministry at local colleges.
St. Mary’s, Pacific Grove, $30,000
to upgrade and enhance the labyrinth on the current church property.
Trinity Cathedral, $175,000
to provide enhancement of the Bi-Cultural, Bi-Lingual membership, leadership, and ministry within the church and in the community.
St Paul’s/San Pablo, Salinas, $50,000
to provide support for the ongoing development of Bi-Cultural/Bi-Lingual leadership within the church and continuing outreach and ministry in the community.
